Samsung might stop making phones in China?

Samsung is thinking about moving where it makes its smartphones, possibly from China to places like India. This move could be because of new taxes that might come from the Trump administration. The big South Korean company is planning to shift its cheaper phones from China to somewhere else.
This is their way of dealing with tougher taxes on Chinese stuff. Samsung is looking into how much other companies can make and how good their tech is. They’re especially eyeing India for this new setup.
Why India?
The world of business is changing fast, and with possible new taxes not just on products from China but also from Vietnam, India looks like a good choice. Samsung is planning to spread out its production, possibly moving some of what it makes in Vietnam to India too.
But, Samsung hasn’t made up its mind yet about moving all its production from China. These ideas are still in the early stages, especially now that Trump is back for another term as President of the US.
What is JDM?
JDM stands for Joint Development Manufacturing. This is different from ODM, or Original Design Manufacturing. In JDM, the company that orders the product and the one that makes it work together to create it. This method can save money because it shares the cost of making things with a partner company, making products cheaper to produce.
