Samsung updates Galaxy A03 and A23 with latest security patch
Samsung has just released a new software update for one of its budget-friendly phones from 2021, the Galaxy A03. This update includes the February 2025 security patch, fixing numerous security issues to keep your phone safer. This update is currently available for the American version of the phone, with model number SM-A035M, updating the firmware to A035MUBS8CYA3.
To update your Galaxy A03, go to Settings, then Software Update, and select Download and Install. If you prefer, you can also manually install the update by downloading the firmware from a reliable source and using Odin. Remember to back up your data first, just to be safe.
The Galaxy A03 typically receives security updates twice a year, but this time, it’s getting the latest patch, which is great news. It’s running on Android 13 with One UI 5.0 and won’t be upgraded to newer Android versions.
If you’re thinking about upgrading from your Galaxy A03, consider looking at the new Galaxy A06 5G. If you can spend a bit more, the Galaxy A15, A35, or A55 might also catch your eye. Meanwhile, the Galaxy A23 is also getting the February 2025 security update, enhancing its security. This update is specifically for the American variant with model number SM-A235M, updating to firmware version A235MUBUAEXL3. You can update through Settings or manually with Odin after downloading the firmware.
Although there’s no update yet to Android 15 with One UI 7.0 for the Galaxy A23, which will bring a fresh look and new features, there’s talk that it might arrive before April. This round of updates shows Samsung’s commitment to keeping their devices secure, even the more affordable ones, ensuring users can enjoy their devices with peace of mind.
