Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge: Now with a ceramic body

Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S25 Edge earlier this year during their Galaxy Unpacked event, but the public couldn’t get their hands on it. Now, we’ve got some exclusive details on its unique design. The Galaxy S25 Edge boasts a ceramic back, which might make it more durable compared to other models in the S25 series that use Gorilla Glass Victus 2. Whether the entire back is ceramic or just infused with ceramic elements isn’t clear yet, but it sets this model apart. This choice could also be why Samsung might have made this phone lighter.
Rumors suggest that the Galaxy S25 Edge could be Samsung’s slimmest phone ever, with whispers it’s around 5.84mm thick, though Samsung hasn’t confirmed this yet. You’ll get to see more of the Galaxy S25 Edge at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025 in early March, though it’s not certain if attendees will be allowed to interact with the device. It’s expected to hit the market in the second quarter of 2025, possibly in April.
In terms of specs, the S25 Edge features a 6.7-inch display, matching the size of the S25+. It sports a dual-camera system at the back, with a speculated 200MP main camera and a 12MP ultra-wide lens, alongside a 12MP front camera for selfies. Powering this device is a 3,900mAh battery with 25W fast charging; although it’s not confirmed, wireless charging is likely included. The phone packs Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, 12GB of RAM, and storage options starting from 256 GB. It will run on Android 15 with Samsung’s One UI 7.0 right out of the box.
This combination of sleek design and powerful internals makes the Galaxy S25 Edge an exciting prospect for tech enthusiasts looking for something durable, stylish, and high-performing.
