Fresh Security Boost for Galaxy S21 FE
The latest update for the Galaxy S21 FE is rolling out to users. It comes with the February 2025 safety patch, plugging up weak spots found in the older software.
This update has the version number G990EXXSCFYB3 and lives in places like Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, the Philippines, and Vietnam. More countries might see it soon, though the version number could change based on the region.
If you own a Galaxy S21 FE and are in one of these countries, you can look for the update by going to Settings, then Software update, and tapping Download and Install on your phone. Another option is to grab the new firmware file from our database and install it yourself. For that, you’ll need a Windows computer and Odin tool to handle the flashing process.
The Galaxy S21 FE hit the market in 2022, starting with Android 12. It got bumped up to Android 13 by the end of 2022, followed by Android 14 in late 2023. The next big thing—Android 15 with One UI 7.0—should arrive in the coming weeks.
