New photo editing tool in One UI 7 coming to Galaxy S24, S23, S22, and S21

One UI 7

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series brings an updated One UI 7 RAW Image Editor with eight handy editing options. This tool makes photo editing on Galaxy phones better and more powerful. The RAW Image Editor first showed up in One UI 6.1.1 on the Galaxy Fold 6 and Z Flip 6. Now, with One UI 7 (running on Android 15), it’s back and improved. Compared to the earlier version (on Android 14), it adds six new features. Along with the existing Highlight and Shadow tools, you get eight options to tweak your RAW photos with more control.

What’s New in One UI 7 RAW Image Editor

Here’s a simple breakdown of the eight editing options:

  • Exposure – Changes how bright or dark the whole picture looks.
  • Contrast – Adjusts the gap between light and dark parts of the photo.
  • Highlights – Brightens just the light areas in your image.
  • Shadows – Lightens up only the darker spots.
  • Vibrance – Boosts colors to make them pop naturally without overdoing it.
  • Saturation – Turns up or down the strength of all colors evenly.
  • Color Temperature – Shifts the tone of the photo, like making it warmer or cooler.
  • Noise Reduction – Cuts down on graininess, though too much might soften details a bit.

Why RAW Image Editor Matters

This tool is built into the Photo Editor and lets you work directly on RAW images. It keeps the original colors, brightness, and details intact, so you can make exact changes without losing quality. Right now, the upgraded RAW Image Editor is on the Galaxy S25 series. Samsung plans to bring it to older top models like the S24, S23, S22, and S21 with the full One UI 7 update soon. This means more Galaxy users can enjoy these cool editing tools!
