Galaxy A55 gets February 2025 security update in more places
Samsung recently shared a software update for the Galaxy A55 in Europe, bringing the February 2025 security patch to fix various safety concerns. Now, the company is sending this same update to the global version of the phone, known by its model number SM-A556E.
The update comes with the version number A556EXXS6AYB4 and is already out in Mexico and Panama. Samsung will likely bring it to more countries soon, possibly within days. If you’re new to using a Samsung phone and want to grab this update, it’s simple. Just head to Settings, tap “Software update,” and choose “Download and install.” We’ve also added the update file to our collection. You can get it from our site and use a Windows PC with Odin to put it on your Galaxy A55.
On the topic of upgrades, the Galaxy A55 will also get Samsung’s Android 15 update, called One UI 7.0. This brings a fresh look, new tools, and smoother effects. Word is, Samsung plans to start testing this update with a beta version for the phone in the coming days.
