Samsung Galaxy S23 series might soon test One UI 7
Samsung seems ready to launch a trial version of One UI 7 for some of its top phones from 2024 and before. Just this week, clues popped up showing that the Galaxy Z Fold 6 and Galaxy Z Flip 6 could join the One UI 7 testing phase. Now, it looks like the Galaxy S23 series is next in line.
Someone named Tarun Vats found beta versions of Android 15 with One UI 7 on Samsung’s servers, specifically for the Galaxy S23 Ultra. These aren’t the usual private test versions Samsung often works on. Instead, they hint that Samsung plans to let regular users try out the new software before it goes live everywhere.
The Galaxy S23 Ultra beta was spotted for the Korean model, but the testing program will likely include the Galaxy S23, S23+, and S23 Ultra in most places where it’s already available for the Galaxy S24 series. That includes countries like China, India, Germany, Poland, Korea, the UK, and the US.
People are curious about how long the testing will take for phones like the Galaxy S23 and Z Fold 6 before the final update arrives. There’s talk that the official One UI 7 launch might not happen until April, which makes sense if Samsung is only now starting to let more devices join the beta.
For some Samsung phones, the wait could stretch to May, and that’s bound to bum out some loyal fans. Hopefully, Samsung figures out a way to get things moving faster. For now, it’s exciting to see the Galaxy S23 series getting closer to this big update!
