Samsung Galaxy S24 gets a new One UI 7 beta fix in the US

Samsung is bringing a fresh update to the Galaxy S24 with the One UI 7 Beta 4 Hotfix (2/26) now available in the US. This update is the same version that first rolled out to Global models. It’s the second small fix released for users in the United States.
The Galaxy S24 Ultra is part of this update, which tackles an annoying screen refresh rate problem. The update is pretty big, over 400 megabytes, so it might come with extra tweaks beyond what’s mentioned. According to the update notes, it “fixes the issue where the refresh rate slows down in some cases.” Samsung made it clear this fix is aimed at smoothing out the screen performance on the S24 Ultra.
This ZYFB (2/26) update is hitting carrier-locked phones across the US. The last update was only for unlocked devices, which likely already got some refresh rate improvements. This is the second quick fix Samsung has pushed out to Beta testers. It feels like the company is wrapping up the testing phase, which is exciting news for the millions of people waiting for the final One UI 7 version.
These small hotfix updates show the Beta team is polishing the software little by little. Testers are getting these focused improvements, and it doesn’t seem like a big Beta update is needed anymore. On another note, March might not bring the full One UI 7 release. A recent rumor hinted that the stable version could launch in mid-April. That might mean we’ll see one more major Beta update in March 2025 before the official rollout.
