Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge release date leaked
Samsung has reportedly locked in a release date for its Galaxy S25 Edge. At last month’s Unpacked event, the company gave a sneak peek of the phone’s early design. This new device is expected to go head-to-head with Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air later this year.
When Will the Galaxy S25 Edge Arrive?
According to a report from South Korea’s sedaily, the Galaxy S25 Edge could be revealed on April 16, 2025. Samsung fans might see the big announcement in April, but the phone may not hit stores until May. After the unveiling, there’s likely a two-week pre-order window. The phone might come in three colors: Light Blue, Black, and Silver.
The report also hints that Samsung won’t make too many at first—just around 40,000 units. This small batch could be a way to test how much people like it before making more.
First Look at the Phone
Even though the launch is still about 50 days away, some real-life pictures of the Galaxy S25 Edge have popped up online. The design matches what Samsung showed earlier, with a dual-camera setup on the back that looks similar to the Fold6 style.
A hands-on video leak on YouTube (from @tecnologiaconalexis) also gave us a glimpse. The phone is expected to have a 6.7-inch AMOLED screen that refreshes smoothly at 120Hz. It’ll run on a powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, with 12GB of memory and 256GB of storage.
Camera and Battery Details
The Galaxy S25 Edge might pack a 200MP main camera and a 50MP ultra-wide lens. For selfies, it’s said to have a 12MP front camera. The battery could be either 3,900mAh or 4,000mAh. Plus, it’s super thin at 5.84mm and light at under 160 grams. Instead of Gorilla Glass, it’ll use a tough Ceramic material.
