Posted on

Last year, Samsung introduced SmartThings Pro, a simple tool built from its SmartThings system. This platform helps businesses manage smart devices easily. Now, Kia’s new electric work vans, called Platform Beyond Vehicles (PBVs).

Samsung and Kia have teamed up to bring SmartThings Pro into these PBVs. This means companies can control things like the vans’ air conditioning or the messages on their digital signs without any hassle. While we don’t know all the details yet, it’s clear this will make the vans more useful for businesses.

Chanwoo Park, a top leader at Samsung’s business solutions team, shared his excitement: “By adding SmartThings Pro to Kia’s PBVs, we’re creating a smart way for businesses to stay connected with their customers. We’ll offer tailored solutions to help small business owners and self-employed folks manage their shops better.”

Sangdae Kim, who leads Kia’s PBV team, added, “Our PBVs aren’t just vans—they’re smart tools for work that fit into the digital world. Partnering with Samsung and using its clever SmartThings Pro system will make life easier for our business customers.

It’ll connect their vans to a bigger network of smart devices. We’re excited to see how this opens up new possibilities for them.” This partnership shows how Kia and Samsung are working together to make electric vans smarter and more helpful for companies. It’s all about giving business owners simple, practical ways to get more done.
