Samsung Galaxy A26 and A36: US launch dates unveiled

Galaxy A Series

Samsung recently shared exciting news about the US launch of the Galaxy A26 and Galaxy A36. These two affordable smartphones were introduced on March 2, just before the Mobile World Congress (MWC) event in Barcelona. They were announced alongside the Galaxy A56, another upcoming model.

Launch Dates Set for Late March

The Galaxy A36 will hit US stores on March 26. It’ll be available in Awesome Black and Awesome Lavender, with a special Awesome Lime color exclusive to Best Buy. This phone offers 128GB of storage but doesn’t have a slot for extra memory cards.

The Galaxy A26 arrives a bit later, on March 28. It comes in just one color—black—but packs 256GB of storage, plus a microSD slot to add more space if needed. Pricing was also revealed: the Galaxy A26 with 256GB costs $299.99, while the Galaxy A36 with 128GB is priced at $399.

What’s Inside the Galaxy A26 and A36?

Both phones share some cool features. They’re built tough with IP67 water and dust protection and strong Gorilla Glass Victus+ on the front and back. You’ll enjoy a big 6.7-inch AMOLED screen with smooth 120Hz refresh rates, a long-lasting 5,000 mAh battery, and a sharp 50MP main camera. They run on Android 15 with One UI 7, which includes smart tools like an object eraser, and Samsung promises six years of updates.

The Galaxy A26 uses the Exynos 1380 chip, borrowed from last year’s Galaxy A35. Meanwhile, the A36 gets a newer Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chip, which is about 8% faster. The A36 also charges quicker at 45W (compared to 25W for the A26) and has a 12MP front camera with better video recording. Its screen shines brighter too, reaching 1200 nits, while the A26 tops out at 1000 nits. The Galaxy A56 is also headed to the US, but Samsung hasn’t shared its launch date yet. Stay tuned for more updates!
