Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 comes with a larger battery

Samsung is gearing up to give the Galaxy Z Flip 7 a bigger battery compared to the Galaxy Z Flip 6. We recently got some exciting details about this upgrade.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 Battery: A Big Boost
Last summer, Samsung rolled out the Z Flip 6 with a noticeably larger battery than its older version. It had a 4,000 mAh capacity, matching the Galaxy S series, like the Galaxy S25 and S24. So, you might think Samsung wouldn’t push further with the Z Flip 7. But that’s not the case!
The Z Flip 7’s two batteries together have a rated capacity of 4,174 mAh. The bigger one (EB-BF767ABY) is rated at 2,985 mAh, and the smaller one (EB-BF766ABY) at 1,189 mAh. Compare that to the Z Flip 6’s 3,887 mAh rated capacity, which translated to a typical 4,000 mAh.
For the Z Flip 7, we’re expecting a typical capacity of around 4,300 mAh. Paired with the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, this should mean much better battery life than any Flip before it. This upgrade might also set the Z Flip 7 apart from the budget-friendly Galaxy Z Flip FE, launching later this year.
When Will the Galaxy Z Flip 7 Arrive?
Samsung still has some time before the Z Flip 7 hits the market. Like last year, we expect it to launch at an Unpacked event in July.
Galaxy Z Flip 7 Camera Details
The camera specs for the Z Flip 7 aren’t too thrilling. Samsung seems to be focusing more on software tricks this year, like the enhanced ProVisual Engine from the Galaxy S25 series. The Z Flip 7 will likely stick with a 50-megapixel main camera, a 12-megapixel ultrawide, and a 10-megapixel front camera.
No big surprises here—unlike the S series, which got a 12-megapixel selfie upgrade, the Flip keeps the older 10-megapixel lens. While the hardware stays familiar, better software could still improve photo quality. We’ll see how these updates play out when the phone arrives this summer!
