Samsung reveals One UI 7 stable launch for April

Posted on

Samsung has finally shared that the stable version of One UI 7 will arrive in April. This is the first time they’ve openly talked about it since the beta version came out. Before the final release, Samsung plans to send out a few beta updates. However, waiting until April feels like a long delay, and Samsung hasn’t explained why it’s taking so much time.

Right now, the One UI 7 beta is being tested on the Galaxy S24 series. With this latest news, the beta program is growing to include two foldable phones: the Galaxy Z Fold 7 and Z Flip 7. Owners of these devices can join the beta through the Samsung Members app.

What’s New in One UI 7?

One UI 7 brings a fresh look to your phone. The home screen gets updated with sharper graphics and new icons that look better than those in One UI 6. These icons also make it easier to tell apps apart. For instance, the camera app’s icon now fits what users expect.

You’ll also find new home screen widgets. They come with a revamped design and more size and shape options in the settings to match your style.

Better Features and Smooth Moves

The quick settings panel is now split into two parts: one for quick controls and another for notifications. Swipe down from the top corners—left or right—to access them. If you prefer the old single panel, you can switch back anytime from the home screen.

The animations in One UI 7 are a big step up. Moving between apps or opening and closing them feels smoother, thanks to improved hardware support. Every tap or swipe responds quickly. The camera app is simpler now, focusing only on what you need for fast photos and videos. All the extra features are still there, just a couple of taps away.

Smarter Connections

Samsung has also improved how devices like the Galaxy Buds 3 Pro work with your phone, making everything feel more connected and easy to use.
