Galaxy S25 Edge: Affordable price, limited launch

Samsung recently showed off the new Galaxy S25 Edge at Unpacked and MWC 2025, exciting fans with a sneak peek. But the company hasn’t shared all the details yet, including how much this phone will cost. Older rumors hinted that the Galaxy S25 Edge’s price would fall between the S25+ and the S25 Ultra. Now, a fresh report from Financial News claims to know the exact starting prices in Korea. It says the 256GB version will sell for 1,500,000 won ($1,029), while the 512GB model will go for 1,630,000 won ($1,118).
These prices might seem low, but that’s because phones in Korea often cost less than in other places. Outside Korea, the Galaxy S25 Edge will likely be a bit pricier. For comparison, in Korea, the 256GB Galaxy S25 Ultra costs 1,698,400 won ($1,165), and the 512GB version is 1,841,400 won ($1,263). The Galaxy S25+ comes in at 1,353,000 won ($928) for 256GB and 1,496,000 won ($1,026) for 512 GB.
Small Launch and No. 1TB Option
Samsung has teased the Galaxy S25 Edge a few times in 2025, but they haven’t said when it’ll be available to buy. Some think it might launch in May after an official reveal in April. The new report suggests Samsung will start with just 40,000 units of the Galaxy S25 Edge. More could be made later, but the first release might be hard to find.
To put that in perspective, Samsung sold 1 million Galaxy S25 phones in Korea in just 21 days. So, 40,000 units for the Edge feels tiny. The report also mentions that the Galaxy S25 Edge will come in 256GB and 512GB sizes, but there won’t be a 1TB option. Those 40,000 units will be split between the two storage choices, making it even trickier to grab one at launch.
