Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge to include free Gemini Advanced features

Posted on

Samsung is gearing up to release the Galaxy S25 Edge, a sleek and slim smartphone. An APK teardown by AndroidAuthority shows that this device will come with a free Gemini Advanced package.
The latest Google app update (version 16.9.39.sa.arm64 beta) for Android includes a code string labeled “SAMSUNG_S25_EDGE.” No other phone matches this name except Samsung’s upcoming model. The teardown also connects it to the Galaxy S25 lineup.

At Unpacked 2025, Samsung revealed its AI collaboration with Google. The new Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra models will feature a Gemini-powered voice assistant. This assistant will be the default option and can be activated anytime using the power button. On top of that, Samsung is offering six months of Gemini Advanced and 2TB of cloud storage at no extra charge with these phones.

The Gemini Advanced package brings a stronger AI model for users. It provides early access to new tools and supports longer tasks with a one-million-token context window. For S25 Edge owners, the Gemini app will be ready to use right out of the box. Samsung wants the S25 Edge to shine with pre-installed Gemini features. This makes sense after the company’s AI partnership with Google was announced.

However, the teardown doesn’t clarify how long the Gemini Advanced package will last for the S25 Edge. We expect it to stick to six months, just like the other S25 models. Earlier reports suggest the S25 Edge will be just 5.8mm thick and weigh 162 grams—slimmer than the 7.2mm standard S25, though both share the same weight.

It will also run on the powerful Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset. The standout feature of this phone is its thin design, making it comfortable to grip. Samsung is set to launch the S25 Edge soon, and it’s shaping up to be a stylish and smart addition to the lineup.
