Samsung earns ‘Low Carbon’ award for Neo QLED TVs for 5th Year

Samsung

Samsung has once again received the ‘Carbon Reduction’ award for its Neo QLED 8K and Neo QLED TVs, marking five years in a row. In 2025, about 80 models from Samsung’s Neo QLED, OLED, and The Frame TV collections also got the ‘Product Carbon Footprint’ and ‘Product Carbon Reduction’ awards from TUV Rheinland, a well-known group in Germany.

These awards show how much a product helps the planet by cutting down harmful emissions. TUV Rheinland checks the gases released during a product’s whole life—making it, shipping it, using it, and throwing it away. Products that produce fewer emissions than older versions get the ‘Carbon Footprint’ award. Those that keep getting better at lowering emissions year after year earn the ‘Carbon Reduction’ title.

Samsung started winning these awards in 2021 with its Neo QLED 4K TVs. Since then, the company has added more certified items, like LED TVs, Crystal UHD, OLED TVs, monitors, and signage. This year, the popular QLED lineup joined the list too.

Taeyong Son, a top leader in Samsung’s Visual Display team, shared:

“Samsung is working hard to reach carbon neutrality and build a greener future while still creating new tech. As the top company in the global TV market, we’ll keep leading the way by controlling emissions from the time TVs are made until they’re no longer used.” Samsung’s efforts show its promise to care for the environment while making top-quality TVs people love.
