Samsung has shared that the One UI 7 update will start rolling out on April 7. This update comes with a fresh AI-powered look to make using Galaxy devices even better. It will bring exciting new tools and upgrades to older Galaxy phones and tablets, not just the new Galaxy S25 series.

In January 2025, Samsung launched One UI 7 with the Galaxy S25 lineup. Since then, many top Galaxy models have been trying out these features in a beta test. Now, Samsung wants to share some of these cool updates with more devices.

  • Galaxy Buds—no need to unlock your phone. Note: Some features might not work everywhere.
  • AI Select – With this, AI suggests actions based on what you’re doing. Watching a video? Swipe the Edge Panel, tap ‘AI Select,’ and save it as a GIF. Supported languages might differ, and some may need a download.
  • Writing Assist – This tool makes writing easier by summarizing or tidying up text. It’s coming to devices like the Galaxy S24 series, S23 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Tab S9 and S10 series.
  • Drawing Assist – Let your ideas shine with this AI feature. Mix text, sketches, or photos to create something fun. You’ll need internet and a Samsung account, and saved images will have an AI watermark. It’s available on devices like the S24, S23, Z Fold, Z Flip, and Tab series.
  • Audio Eraser – Edit videos by cutting out annoying sounds like wind or chatter. It works on the S24 series, Z Fold 6, Z Flip 6, and Tab S10, though results depend on the video.
  • Gemini Integration – Talk to your phone naturally with Gemini. Ask, “Find a pet-friendly Italian spot nearby,” and get suggestions. You’ll need internet and a supported device.
  • Natural Language Search – Search settings with everyday words. Say, “My eyes hurt,” and it might suggest dimming the screen. It supports languages like English, Spanish, and more on select devices.

Starting April 7, One UI 7 will hit the Galaxy S24 series, Z Flip 6, and Z Fold 6, then roll out to more devices later. Keep an eye out!
