Samsung brings Tizen OS 8.0 with One UI to Odyssey G9

In October 2024, Samsung began updating its TVs with Tizen OS 8.0 and One UI. A month later, the company started pushing this update to its smart monitors. Now, this fresh software is arriving on one of Samsung’s top gaming monitors, the Odyssey G9. A user on Reddit shared that their Odyssey G9 is receiving the One UI update. They even posted pictures showing the update in progress and the new home screen after it finished installing.

What Does One UI Bring to the Odyssey G9?
Based on what’s visible, One UI on the Odyssey G9 comes with the same improved look as it does on Samsung TVs and other smart monitors. This means fresh icons and a smoother, updated design, borrowed from the One UI seen on Samsung phones.
Right now, there’s no full list of changes for this update. Still, we think it’ll bring the same upgrades as it does to TVs and smart monitors—like a cleaner, simpler Settings menu that’s easier to use and understand.
Which Monitors Will Get This Update?
Samsung hasn’t shared a clear list of monitors getting One UI yet. However, we guess the company will roll it out to models from 2023, just like it did with its TVs. Hopefully, more information will come our way soon!
