Galaxy A53 receives March 2025 safety update

While everyone eagerly awaits the big One UI 7 release, Samsung isn’t slowing down. The company is making sure as many phones as possible stay safe with the latest security fixes. This week, the Galaxy A53 is getting the March 2025 safety update.
The update is popping up in several countries across South and North America, like Bolivia, Peru, and Mexico. It might take a few days to reach more places, so don’t worry if you don’t see it yet.
To check for the update, look for the build number A536EXXSDEYBD. You can grab it straight from your phone by going to Settings » Software Update. If you prefer, our firmware archive has it too, and you can see which countries already have access.

What’s Next for Galaxy A53?
Besides this safety update, Galaxy A53 users have something exciting to look forward to: One UI 7, built on Android 15. The official rollout kicks off on April 7 for top-tier Samsung phones, but mid-range models like the A53 will likely see it in May. Samsung hasn’t set an exact date yet, though.
This Android 15 update marks the third big system upgrade for the Galaxy A53. The phone is promised four major updates in total. After that, it’ll still get security patches for at least one more year. So, your device stays protected and up-to-date for a good while!
