Samsung brings March 2025 security update to Galaxy A15 5G

Samsung

Samsung is set to launch its Android 15-based One UI 7.0 update for selected Galaxy phones and tablets on April 7, 2025. The Galaxy A15 5G is one of the devices that will receive this update. However, since Samsung usually starts with newer and pricier models before moving to older or budget-friendly ones, the Galaxy A15 5G might have to wait a bit longer for it.

For now, Samsung is giving the Galaxy A15 5G a different update. This one includes the March 2025 security patch, which tackles several safety concerns. It’s currently rolling out to the version of the phone sold mostly in Asia and the Middle East, with the model number SM-A156E. The update comes with firmware version A156EDXS5BYB1.

Getting this update on your Galaxy A15 5G is super easy. Just head to Settings, tap on “Software update,” and choose “Download and install.” Before you start, make sure your battery is fully charged so the process doesn’t get interrupted.

This security patch is likely the final update for the Galaxy A15 5G before One UI 7.0 arrives. When that happens, it’ll bring a fresh look, cool new features, and smoother animations. Plus, there’s a chance the phone could also see Android 16 with One UI 8.0 down the road.
