Samsung Galaxy A36 gets first update with important software feature

Samsung has released the first software update for the Galaxy A36 and Galaxy A26. This update confirms that the Galaxy A36 uses A/B partitions, which help make installing updates smoother and faster. With A/B partitions, updates are installed in the background while the phone is still in use, and the user only needs to restart the phone when it’s done.
The Galaxy A26, however, doesn’t have this feature and still uses the older method, which requires more downtime during updates.
This new update for the Galaxy A36 comes with the March 2024 security patch and is currently available in several countries, including India and parts of Asia and Europe. The Galaxy A26 is also getting its first update, which includes the same security improvements but without the A/B partition feature.
This shows that Samsung is slowly bringing A/B partitioning to more devices, starting with mid-range models like the A36. It’s a helpful change that makes software updates less disruptive and more efficient for users.
