Hackers install One UI 8 on Samsung phones before official release, skip One UI 7
Some Samsung fans were shocked to see One UI 8 running on their phones, especially since One UI 7 hasn’t even come out yet. According to reports, hackers somehow got One UI 8 working on several Samsung devices, including the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy A54, and Galaxy A73.
This unexpected move has surprised the community, as Samsung hasn’t officially talked about One UI 7 or One UI 8 yet. It’s possible these hackers used special tools or early test versions to install the software ahead of time.
The phones seen running One UI 8 include the Galaxy S23 Ultra, Galaxy S23+, Galaxy S23, Galaxy A73, and Galaxy A54. Some of them were also using the latest April 2025 security update. This makes people wonder how the hackers got access to this version, and if it’s really from Samsung’s servers or a custom version made by developers.
Samsung usually rolls out major updates step by step, and One UI 7 is expected to be based on Android 15. So, seeing One UI 8 appear first is strange. The company hasn’t made any official statements yet.
