Samsung explains why the Bluetooth icon disappeared in One UI 7

Samsung users recently noticed that the Bluetooth icon is no longer showing in the status bar after updating to One UI 7. This change made some people think that Bluetooth wasn’t working or had been turned off, even when it was still active.
Samsung has now responded to the feedback. According to the company, the Bluetooth icon was removed from the status bar on purpose with the new Android 15-based One UI 7 update. The reason? Samsung wanted to make the status bar cleaner and less crowded by hiding icons that don’t need attention. Since Bluetooth is often left on all the time, the icon isn’t always necessary.
However, Samsung also said they are listening to user opinions. If many people want the Bluetooth icon back, they might consider adding it again in a future update.
For now, if you want to check if Bluetooth is on, you can simply swipe down to open the Quick Settings panel. The Bluetooth toggle there will show if it’s enabled or connected to another device.
So, while the icon is gone for now, it doesn’t mean Bluetooth isn’t working — it’s just part of Samsung’s new design approach.
