Samsung is preparing to launch its next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Fold7, and it’s expected to bring some major upgrades. According to reports, the device will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor, which is also being called the Snapdragon 8 Elite Edition. This new chip is said to offer faster performance and better power efficiency compared to the previous Snapdragon 8 Gen 3.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 will also come with Android 16 right out of the box. Samsung is currently testing this Android version internally, with the software build version F956BXXU0AXD2. It looks like the Fold7 will be one of the first Galaxy phones to run the next version of Android.

While more details about the Galaxy Z Fold7 are still under wraps, Samsung is expected to reveal the phone in July 2025 at its next Galaxy Unpacked event. Along with the Fold7, the Galaxy Z Flip7 is also likely to be introduced at the same event.

Samsung fans can look forward to a better foldable experience this year, thanks to the new chip and the latest Android version. More features and specifications should be revealed as the launch date gets closer.
