Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 6 spotted testing Android 16 with One UI 8

Samsung is working on the Galaxy Z Flip 6, and a new early benchmark has revealed something interesting. The phone was recently seen on Geekbench with model number SM-F741U. What caught attention is that it’s running Android 16 with Samsung’s next software version — One UI 8.

This leak suggests that Samsung has already started testing Android 16 on its upcoming foldable phone. The benchmark also shows that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will have the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, the same one found in the Galaxy S24 Ultra. It will also come with 8GB of RAM.

Usually, Samsung releases its new foldables around August, so the Galaxy Z Flip 6 may be announced at the next Galaxy Unpacked event this summer. If things go as planned, it could be the first Samsung phone to launch with Android 16 and One UI 8 out of the box.

Android 16 is still under development, and Google is expected to release its public beta soon. Samsung seems to be preparing early, which means the Galaxy Z Flip 6 might offer the latest features right at launch.

Overall, this early appearance hints that Samsung is getting ready to bring powerful upgrades in both hardware and software with its next flip phone.
