Samsung resumes One UI 7 testing for Galaxy Z Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE
Samsung has started testing the One UI 7 update again for its upcoming foldable phones. These devices include the Galaxy Z Fold 6, Galaxy Z Flip 6, and the more affordable Galaxy Z Fold SE. Earlier this month, the testing was paused, but now it’s back on track.
Samsung’s testing was first spotted on the company’s server database. The firmware version being tested is F741BXXU0AXD5 for the Galaxy Z Flip 6. It’s expected that the Fold 6 and Fold SE are also using similar software builds.
All three phones are set to come with Android 14-based One UI 6.1.1 out of the box. However, Samsung has already started preparing the Android 15-based One UI 7 update for them. This means these foldables might be some of the first to get the new software later this year.
Samsung usually rolls out major Android updates between October and December. So, if all goes smoothly, the Fold 6, Flip 6, and Fold SE could receive the One UI 7 update shortly after launch.
In short, Samsung is working ahead of time to make sure its next-generation foldables are ready for the latest software. This also shows that these phones will be among the top priorities for future updates.
