Galaxy S23 One UI 7 beta users get new Samsung AOD update with ‘Now Bar’ for sports
Samsung is rolling out a fresh update for the Always On Display (AOD) app, bringing it to version 8.8.98.6. This update is mainly for Galaxy S23 users who are testing the One UI 7 beta.
One of the main features in this update is the “Now Bar,” which was first introduced in Galaxy AI. This feature is now being added to AOD, making it easier for users to stay updated with live sports scores, right from the lock screen.
The “Now Bar” uses AI to show real-time sports scores and updates, even when the screen is off. This feature is expected to support several major sports, such as football, basketball, and baseball, just like it does in Google’s Pixel devices.
Right now, this new AOD feature is only available for Galaxy S23 users running the One UI 7 beta version. Samsung may expand this feature to more devices and regions in the future, depending on how it performs.
