Galaxy S23 gets One UI 7 beta soon, but S22 may miss key AI features

One UI 7

Samsung is getting ready to launch the One UI 7 beta update based on Android 15, starting with the Galaxy S23 series. The update could be released as early as July 2025. The Galaxy S23 is expected to be the first to test the new version, just like it was with the previous One UI 6 update.

Samsung has already started preparing for the beta rollout. A new update to the Always On Display (AOD) app, version 8.8.98.4, hints at upcoming changes linked to One UI 7. This update supports the Galaxy S23 and shows that Samsung is getting closer to launching the beta.

However, there’s some not-so-good news for Galaxy S22 users. Even though the S22 series will get the One UI 7 update, it might not include some major Galaxy AI features. Reports say the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 chip in the S22 may not support all the advanced AI tools coming in One UI 7. So, users of the S22 might miss out on the best new features that the S23 series will get.

To sum up, Galaxy S23 users can look forward to testing One UI 7 soon, with early signs already showing up. But Galaxy S22 users might not get the full experience, especially when it comes to powerful AI upgrades.
