Samsung Wallet is testing two useful new features for users in the US

Samsung is working on two new features for its Wallet app in the United States. These features are currently being tested with some users and could make the app more helpful in everyday situations.

The first feature being tested is the ability to store driver’s licenses and state IDs in the Samsung Wallet. This means users in the US may soon be able to carry a digital version of their ID right on their phone, making it easier to show proof of identity when needed. Samsung is making sure this feature follows security and privacy rules before it becomes available to everyone.

The second feature adds support for digital car keys. This lets users lock, unlock, or even start their car with their smartphone, as long as their vehicle supports this function. Samsung has already offered this feature in other countries, and now it’s getting closer to launching it in the US too.

These updates are currently in a test phase, and Samsung has not said when they will be available to all users. But once released, they could make the Samsung Wallet even more useful by replacing physical items like IDs and car keys.

Samsung continues to improve its Wallet app to help users keep important things in one secure place on their phones.
