Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 7 might use only Snapdragon chip, not Exynos

Samsung is working on its next foldable phone, the Galaxy Z Flip 7, and there’s a new report that suggests it might not use the Exynos chip at all. Instead, Samsung could go with just Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 processor.
This report comes from tipster Revegnus, who shared on X that the Galaxy Z Flip 7 could skip the Exynos chip and only use the Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 globally. Samsung has used both Exynos and Snapdragon chips in different markets before, but that might change with this model.
Right now, Samsung is using the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 in its Galaxy Z Flip 6, which is expected to come out later this year. So, for the next version — the Z Flip 7 — the company could continue its strong partnership with Qualcomm.
The reason behind this change may be performance. The Snapdragon 8 Gen 4 is expected to bring major improvements in speed and power efficiency. Samsung might want to give its foldable phone users the best experience by going with this chip only.
Of course, it’s still early and Samsung hasn’t confirmed anything yet. We’ll have to wait until the Galaxy Z Flip 7 is officially announced in 2025 to know for sure.
