Samsung adds widget support to Phone app and promises fix for Folder bug in One UI 8

Samsung

Samsung is testing some new features in the One UI 8 Beta update, and one of the highlights is widget support for the Phone app. This means you’ll soon be able to add a Phone app widget to your home screen, giving you quick access to your favorite contacts, call logs, or dial pad without needing to open the app.

This widget feature is currently being tested and may become available in a future stable update once feedback is reviewed and improvements are made. Samsung has not confirmed an exact release date yet.

Along with this, Samsung has also addressed a known issue where some users experienced a bug with home screen folders. After a recent update, folders on the home screen stopped opening properly, which caused frustration for many Galaxy users.

The company has now confirmed that it’s working on a fix and plans to release an update soon to solve the problem. This shows that Samsung is actively listening to user feedback and trying to improve the user experience.

Overall, these updates suggest that Samsung is focusing on both new features and fixing issues to make One UI 8 better for everyone. More changes and improvements may arrive as the beta program continues.
