One UI 7 lock screen blur issue on Galaxy S25 not working properly

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 series is running the latest One UI 7 beta, which brings several new features and design improvements. But some users have noticed a problem with the lock screen blur effect. Instead of working as expected, the blur effect either looks too sharp or doesn’t appear at all.
Normally, the blur effect is used to hide the wallpaper when notifications pop up, making text easier to read. On the Galaxy S25 series, this feature seems broken in One UI 7 beta. Users shared that the lock screen looks too clear, and the background doesn’t blur when notifications show up, which makes it harder to read text or see pop-up alerts.
It’s worth noting that this issue doesn’t affect older models like the Galaxy S24, even though they’re also using the One UI 7 beta. This hints that the problem may be specific to the S25’s software or hardware. Samsung hasn’t officially responded yet, but this is likely just a small bug in the beta version.
Since beta updates are still being tested, small problems like this can happen. Hopefully, Samsung will fix it in an upcoming update before the official release. If you’re testing the One UI 7 beta on a Galaxy S25 and see this problem, you’re not alone—it’s a known issue and should be fixed soon.
