Samsung explains One UI 7 haptic taps issue, releases fixes for update and notification bugs

Samsung

Samsung users recently reported strange haptic feedback in One UI 7, where phones randomly vibrated for no reason. While it seemed like a bug, Samsung has explained that it’s linked to sunrise times. The system sends daily sunrise alerts, which cause the phone to vibrate—even if users don’t notice any notification.

These vibrations aren’t random, but rather a quiet sunrise reminder. If you don’t want this, you can turn off the sunrise feature in the Weather app’s settings. Another issue appeared during the One UI 7 updates. Some users couldn’t download the update properly. Samsung confirmed this was due to a glitch in its Software Update app.

To fix it, users are advised to update the “Software Update” utility through the Galaxy Store to avoid installation problems and ensure smoother updates. Additionally, the NotiStar app had a bug where notifications caused some devices to reboot. Samsung has now released version 7.0.17.0 of NotiStar, which fixes this problem.

If your phone was restarting after certain notifications, updating to the latest NotiStar version from Good Lock should solve the issue. Samsung continues to address user feedback quickly, ensuring better performance and fewer bugs in One UI 7. Make sure to keep your apps and system updated to enjoy a smoother Galaxy experience.
