Samsung to release One UI 8 based on Android 16 in July 2025
Samsung is getting ready to introduce One UI 8, which will be built on Android 16. According to recent reports, the first beta version of this software could arrive in July 2025, starting with the Galaxy S24 series.
Every year, Samsung updates its software after Google rolls out a new Android version. Android 16 is currently being tested by Google, and its final version is expected to come out around August. However, Samsung plans to launch the One UI 8 beta a bit earlier, possibly in July.
The Galaxy S24 lineup is likely to be the first to receive this beta update. After that, other Galaxy devices such as the Galaxy S23 series, Galaxy Z Fold5, and Galaxy Z Flip5 might also get the update.
Samsung usually runs several beta tests before launching the stable version. This helps them find and fix bugs and improve the overall experience. Once the beta testing ends, the stable One UI 8 update is expected to roll out starting in October 2025.
With each new One UI version, Samsung brings fresh features and improvements to make Galaxy phones better and easier to use. Fans can look forward to a smoother, more powerful software experience with One UI 8 based on Android 16.
